If you have the urge to get a particularly obtrusive tattoo or piercing, I’d hold off for a year or two and see if you still feel the same way. The same goes for marriage, having kids, or basically any decision that results in something that you must carry with you into the future. Because what if you change your mind?

When you’re young, it’s good to be unencumbered and able to change directions quickly.
